Traill Green. Dr. Traill Green M.D., LL.D (May 25, 1813 - April 29, 1897) was a medical doctor, scientist, and educator. Green was actively engaged with the early years of Lafayette College, serving at various times as a professor, trustee, and acting president. He was a civic leader in Easton, Pennsylvania, where he lived most of his life.

Dr Traill Green "Dr. Traill Green (27), son of Benjamin (13), a physician, honored with the degree LL.D., professor of chemistry in Lafayette College, and the liberal donor of funds to that college, to establish an observatory. He married Harriet, daughter of Loammi Moore, of Morristown, and has children: Ella; Frances; and Edgar Moore."

Traill Green was a noted physician in Pennsylvania. He had a long career at Lafayette College (1837-1897) as a professor, administrator, and trustee. Green's seven letters (1840-1846) to Brakeley relate primarily to botany and natural science. Rev. Thomas C. Porter was a member of the Lafayette College Class of 1840.
