Beatrice of Portugal (1372–1409), the daughter of Ferdinand I of Portugal, was officially legitimized and named his heir. She is also often referred to as Beatrice, Queen Consort of Castile, as she married King John I of Castile. However, despite being queen consort, she never secured the throne of Portugal due to the political crisis following her father's death.
