The revised Garendon Hall was intended to be in the Palladian architectural style. This style is characterized by its symmetry and classical forms, drawing inspiration from the architecture of ancient Rome. The plans for the new Garendon Hall, as envisioned by Ambrose Phillipps, involved a building that was eleven bays wide with a facade based on design principles laid out by Andrea Palladio, an influential Italian architect (source).
